Word has circulated on Nextdoor (because of course) that Kalidy, through its attorney, is withdrawing the PUD for an apartment development at I-35 and Memorial Rd. from the Planning Commission docket.
Obviously, any future rezoning request will go through the same planning and neighbor notification processes.

As much as we wish we could ignore the social media bluster, it's no secret that Nextdoor has been the catalyst for previous petitions to overturn council-approved rezoning applications for multifamily housing in Edmond.
The last attempt to rezone for apartments on I-35 near Memorial Rd. was the subject of some pretty despicable and embarrassing public comments that served as a critical point of inflection leading to the inception of Edmond Urbanist.
So happy this was withdrawn. That space should be a park or something valuable for the community, not a crappy overpriced apartment complex.
